There is limited scientific evidence regarding the efficiency of shampoo in promoting hair growth or treating hair loss. Shampoos are designed to clean your hair and scalp, while conditioners are used to moisturise, nourish and protect your strands from hair breakage.

However, manufacturers tend to add a variety of other ingredients to their formulations, which promise a wide range of results, from stimulating hair growth to regenerating, anti-ageing, volumising or strengthening effects.
